The facade of the buildings within Wat Chiang Man are all intricately carved and gilded, the most accessible – and the only one done in green – is the small pavilion and altar located to the front left of the main prayer hall.
Visitor’s shoes piled up in front of a wat in Thailand are a common sight, and a common photo too. Crocs, not so much. Especially when they belong to one of the temple’s monks.
