Bode choked and our boys in rhinestones couldn’t quite pull one off, so day #3 at Sochi did not see more gold added to the US’s haul. But Dutch Speedskater Ireen Wüst, who also plays on our team, won the gold in the Ladies’ 3000m Speed Skating event, which is worthy of a pictorial homage in itself. Her win also means that the gold medal count for Team Gay and Team Anti-Gay is tied at one each. I’m sure that make Putin happy.
