Don’t think of it as yet another sports post this week, think of it as yet another naked hottie post this week . . .
ESPN Magazine’s annual Body Issue featuring a roster of naked world class athletes is scheduled for publication tomorrow and already the internet is buzzing with advanced copies of the photos. Olympian Danell Leyva, who placed first at the recent Men’s Gymnastics Olympic Trials and is a strong contender for winning gold in London, is one of the hunky athletes featured in the July issue of the magazine. On the off chance you haven’t Googled your little ass off hunting down his shots I thought I’d share them with you.

Along with the photos the magazine ran a short interview with Danell in which he answers several questions including a few about his body. They asked him if he could write the caption for his photo what it would be and his response was, “Hairy. That one word — in bold capital letters.”
Kind of a shame the interviewer didn’t follow up. From other photos of him it’s obvious that he manscapes, whether that is out of personal preference or if he feels it adds to his aesthetic value during competitions would have been interesting to know. A demonstration of the procedure would have been even better.
Danell also acknowledges that he has a big butt and thick thighs (huh, hadn’t noticed!), that he’d like to have better abs, and that he is extremely flexible and can do splits. “That’s kind of weird for a guy,” he says.

He also says that after he is done with gymnastics he’d like to try his hand at MMA, saying, “MMA fighters are crazy and amazing, ridiculously strong and agile.” I’m thinking a match up with Dakota Cochrane would be a good boost to his career. Or at least my fantasies.
