Turns out Angkor Wat is a great place for monk hunting. I’ve visited the temple twice now, and was pleasantly surprised to see large numbers of monks also touring the ruins. Kinda made up for the hordes of Japanese touri that descend on the place. On my last visit, a plump older monk stopped me to ask if he could take my picture. Nice to know to some I qualify as exotic!
