Golan Yosef

The hunk of hotness known as Golan Yosef

I love when I post to the Gay of the Week category and don’t have to just pretend that that week’s honoree is gay. So I’m lucking out with this one. This young hottie, Golan Yosef, plays for our team. I have proof: an anonymous poster on Anwers.com said he was. ‘Cuz he knew him. Sounds like irrefutable proof to me, no?

But more importantly than whether he is or isn’t is: what in the hell is the matter with you guys? Why did not someone tell me about this babe? I know the economy sucks, but trust me, I can afford a new bottle of lube. Golan is a hottie and while still not yet wildly famous, isn’t exactly an unknown. And you all are falling down on the job.

Yeah, in my dreams . . .

Born on March 24, 1984, Golan is a Dutch dancer, choreographer, model, and actor. Born in Gouda, Netherlands, he began his dance training in Amsterdam at age 10 at the National Ballet Academy and since then has performed with the Scapino Ballet Rotterdam, and the Ballet des Jeunes d’ Europe and Ballet National de Marseille In France. In 2007 he won First Prize for his choreography of  “Impulses” at the International Solo Dance Theatre Festival in Stuttgart. He became a member of the Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet in New York in 2007. Yup, know what you’re thinking: Ballet dancer? Probably straight.

Guess who in this photo might be gay?

He garnered a new legion of fans after appearing in the 2006 made for TV Movie, The Cheetah Girls 2, a Disney Channel production in which he starred as Joaquin, a handsome young tango dancer who falls for one of the teenybopper moms while showing the group the sights in Barcelona (trust me, don’t Google it, that’s really all you need to know.) In 2008 he had a minor roll in the Spanish comedy No Me Pidas Que Te Bese Porque Te Besaré and appeared recently with Matt Damon in The Adjustment Bureau as a dancer with the Cedar Lake Ballet (um, which he is. So don’t expect an Oscar nomination).

A dance shot of Golan. More importantly, a shirtless shot of Golan.

The latest buzz is that he will be starring as Dracula in a new French ballet about the blood sucking count. Those of you who live in Europe can ogle him in person beginning at the end of September in Paris. Golan’s passions are dance, music, and creating anything where he can use his gay genes artistic and creative personality. Being a devotee of Pilates and Girotonics, as well as dance keeps his body in droolable shape.

Vampires these days just keep getting hotter and hotter.

Professionally, he really needs to hire a good publicist to help spread the word, though his recent shirtless photograph managed to help in that regard. (However, a publicist would have demanded the shot be sent back to be retouched to remove the scraggly growth of chest hair, which, being the champ I am, I’ve removed for you in the shot below).

Cute face, cute treasure trail.

I hope to see more of this cute little hunk in the future. I understand there are still parts being cast for Steven Soderbergh’s hunkorama male stripper film, Magic Mike. Maybe Golan can land a roll as one of the strippers. God, I hope Golan lands a roll as one of the strippers.
