Biker Bar Decor

The imagery at temples in Thailand is usually reverent depictions of the Buddha, or of significant events in his life. Buddhist legends and myth also play an important role in the statues, paintings, carvings and architectural details found in wats. The White Wat outside of Chiang Rai takes a more Catholic approach; the temple and grounds are filled with hellish vision warning against sin and temptation and depicting the repercussions of a misspent life. Near the entrance is this biker bar chic statue of a bottle of whiskey, some demons, and a skull. I’m sure its message is that booze is bad, but it’d be a cool addition to any bar’s decor.
