What can I say? The Christmas holiday season officially kicks off today even if they have been selling holiday decorations at the stores since August. I’ve always appreciated that Thailand’s stores and malls get into the spirit even if it is not one of the spirits Thais worship. Gaysorn Plaza goes upscale with their indoor decorations, Siam Paragon does a impressive display too though theirs is focused outside. Central World attracts a lot of locals with their lighted displays and it’s always fun to watch them pose for family photos in front of a scene that has nothing to do with their country. MBK tries. It’s difficult to do the snow scene when you’ve never actually seen any, and that probably explains their anorexic looking Santas too. But when you have a tuk tuk decked out in its holiday finest, what more do you really need?
