Team GB’s Kristian Thomas

Kristian Thomas electrified the home crowd with his opening efforts on the vault during the men’s gymnastics team finals in London. His performance on the floor exercise, the last apparatus of the competition, and with Kristian as the last competitor, solidified Team GB’s standing and after a disastrous error on the pommel horse by the Japanese team, won the Brits the bronze medal, the first men’s gymnastics Olympic medal the country has won since 1912. You know the 23-year-old hottie with the cuddly looks of a teddy bear, regardless of which way he swings, got laid last night.

Kristian began his gymnastic career at the age of five, and in 1999 at the age of ten was invited to join the British national team. Four years later he entered his first international competition and has competed on behalf of his country in over 50 international events.

In 2008 he won the British all around title, and the following year at the World Championships placed sixth. In 2010 at the Worlds Kristian won a bronze medal in the floor exercise, his strongest event, which he has won silver on in several international competitions. He helped his team qualify for the London Olympics at the Olympic Test event last January placing second in the all around, and won bronze medals on both the vault and floor exercise and a gold on the high bar.

During the qualifying rounds in London Kristian also earned spots in the individual competitions for both the all around and vault, having placed fifth in both.
