Ta Prohm Cambodia

Doorway through the jungle.

At times it seems the tree roots overgrowing the Ta Prohm Temple in Cambodia are acting in conjunction with the structure of ruins. Here, they have perfectly framed a doorway leading into one of the complex’s rubble strewn corridors. Covering and blocking out the surrounding walls, the roots have left the passageway clear, and have left the relief work depicting a line of devitas above the lentel free from their damage, too.
