I don’t know why I’ve always been drawn to this Chiang Mai artist’s booth. Probably nothing more than the vivid colors and lights that grab your attention as you make your way back to your hotel from the Night Bazaar. He’s been setting up his space on a corner spot along Loy Kroh Road for years, and I’ve snapped numerous shots over several visits to Chiang Mai. None have ever captured the mood though until my last trip. I took this photo at dusk. It looks to be much later at night. I think the brighter ambient light allowed the colors to come through and kept his spot lights from washing out the scene.
