from the first to the last post read on sgf, i belive irony ruled the waves ….
now we have daboss deleting someones account because a few people didnt get the humour of it ..and some of those people who didnt get the humour are *friends* of daboss … personally i thought obnoxiuos posts where mildly amusing .. but i belive they didnt fit in with the boasting about how many shags had been had per day ,,
i do find it quiet sad that 40 – 50 year old guys feel the need to tell the world how many guys they have had sex with in a 24 hour period …specially as they have to pay for it all the time ..
i guess at least a few other are getting a bit steamy reading such exploits …
amen .
This comic stems from the Waking Up The Dead thread on Jabba’s board where they actually began discussing the pros of flogging members who misbehave. Though it certainly comes close to fitting SGT’s Pattaya Report thread except Da Boss opted for capital punishment on that one instead of corporal punishment.
As for Obnoxious, may he rest in peace, it’s a shame Da Boss is now banning humor on his board. Unless it’s not funny and includes a few LOLs in an effort to be so. Amazing that anyone would ban a poster responsible for the most active thread on his board, both in views and replies. But then the Gang of Four decreed they were unable to see the humor in Obnoxious’ posts, and, like you say, it interfered with their run of posts on how many boys they paid for over the last 24-hours.
It’s getting difficult to decide which forum and/or poster to lampoon each week with such a plethora of riches.

aye i know where the comic came from .. irony irony everywhere .. cant remeber the rset of the saying tho 🙁
.there is another looney on the loose on the gay tingtong forum .. but no one replies to anything he says so thats ok 🙂
But then no one pays attention to ting tong either!

I deplore the banning ob “Obnoxious”.
Writing about sex? I think it’s like talking about money, if you do, you don’t have it. Which is true for me: when I write my trip reports, I am in a state of month-long forced celibacy. I think there is nothing wrong with sharing your sexual experiences. It’s like going to a good movie or having a nice dinner. It’s the catholic church who wants to teach us that sex is exclusively for reproduction (and therefor being gay is evil, and no condoms for heteros).
Who is the Gang of Four?
And this might be the best place to ask: is rhodochrosite on gaytingtong real? (I have been wondering for a long time, but don’t know where or whom to ask.)
I have no problem writing about sex, or reading others tales either but when it is nothing more than “oh I had a delicious boy from [insert name of small Pattaya bar here] and then we got drunk and I did it again the next night” it gets a bit boring.
I don’t know anything about rhodochrosite (other than it is a pink stone) and seldom read ting tong. Maybe someone else reading the comments has some info?

Obnoxious post on SGT was hilarious, the replies from daBoss and his fine ladies even more. It is a sad state of affairs there in Pataya.
Ever since daBoss, who I understand is some sex club owner in that seaside town, took over, the posts are getting more and more boring. I thought I would never say it, but I miss those posts of Beachlover, not to mention LMTU, ahh, those were the days!
GayButton I don’t visit anymore, don’t have to read the reply of the board owner on every god damm post!
lol – I was just thinking the same thing but didn’t want to say it! Time for beachlover to come back!

masochism – “The deriving of pleasure, or the tendency to derive pleasure, from being humiliated or mistreated, either by another or by oneself” or “A willingness or tendency to subject oneself to unpleasant or trying experiences.”
Somewhat like an otherwise normal person posting on the gay Thailand boards.
Baht Stop – comatose after disintegrating into a sandbox for bitch slapping between maybe two or three actual people with an average emotional age of 12.
Ting Tong – you’re right. Nothing of interest.
Gay Butt – The moderator must be mentally ill or have a Napoleon complex. Beachlover was right about Gay Butt — for pedophiles in Shitsville who like to complain about their prostitutes. If you’re not in the clique, arbitrary rules will be enforced. Everyone must know that a message board is all about the moderator’s opinions and the posters’ opinions are of little consequence because, well, they do not own the board.
Sawatdee – same as above. Very sad decline under the new ownership. I was so impressed with the organization of the photo contest. Very well thought out!
Gay Thailand – Dullest of the lot. I think it is down to only one poster — some highly constipated Brit with a cucumber sandwich fetish.
Anyhow, thank you a nice alternative to all of the above!
Nice Mitch, you summed up the current state of the boards perfectly. And I thought I was the only one going ‘WTF?’ over that photo contest. Someone, and I don’t remember who, posted a rather nice shot of a guy’s butt – really well done. I hope he won. Having to go back and chase down which pix were which was just too much of a chore though so I haven’t a clue if he got the results he deserved.
The scary thing is dear Bitchy is having the last laugh.
I’m still not sure what wild hair crawled up my butt to cause me to start this blog, but the best part of the experience has been you guys who comment regularly. No rules, no moderating, no banning, and y’all manage to keep things lively and interesting. So thanks to all of you!
There’s a brand new forum in town that was just born, called Gay Touri dot com. There are only a few members right now, but it will grow organically over time. I agree with much of what you guys are saying. Of course, the moderator’s views, philosophy, and actions, and even sense of humor, do determine to a great extent the content and the overall feel of a place. It will be very interesting to hear your comments about this new community as it develops and evolves.
I must admit that it’s kinda funny to see the ongoing complaints about “trolls”… and then, later, the subsequent complaints about the banning of the trolls. I think I’m up to the challenge, and I hope you like the results. I invite you all to jump in to the conversations there, and let’s build another fun online place to hang out, share information, stories, and yes, entertaining humor too. ….not to take anything away from the existing forums, of course.
I think the difference is in the purpose of a blog as opposed to a forum Christian. It’s considered polite to acknowledge the comment someone makes on your personal blog. Those who post on forums are not looking for the owner/moderator to address every subject and every post. Forum posts are done so to encourage a discussion, not a dissertation on the likes and dislikes of those who run the forum.

“Professional Complainers” do exist.
So my rule is, Do your best to do what is right. Then, let it go. Life is too short to waste time and energy on the small stuff. And it’s almost all small stuff.
Other than noting Tim’s comment was well-played and earned the bastard comment for posing such a conundrum, I’d agree with you about not sweating the small stuff.
But then a blog is a lot easier than a board.
Trolls? Why ban them? If they really are annoying they’ll end up being ignored. Often though what someone will call a troll is just not their type of poster. Others will enjoy him, or enjoy the friction his posts causes among the regulars.
The current trend is to police against those who don’t subscribe to the party line, “offensive” posters are banned even though what they post isn’t really offensive. But board owners seem insistent on providing a ‘nice’ place to post, as long as you agree with their definition of nice, ignoring that mature adults tend to police themselves and that dissent is what made forums so popular in the first place.

Am I the only person who notices that most posts on this blog have an even number of comments for the very same reason?
