High above the Nam Khan, Luang Prabang’s lesser know river, a young monk studies in the stillness of the early morning. At least until I arrived. I’m sure The Buddha preached patience. Luang Prabang’s monks must specialize in that virtue with all the touri constantly snapping their picture. But then posing in a scene like this, what do you expect?

Great photos as always!
I’ve found the novice monks in Luang Prabang very willing to have their photos taken. The ones I’ve talked with are so hopeful to find sponsors to continue their education!

Thanks Mitch.
I was impressed with how good the young monks’ english was. And they were all so in touch with what was hapening outside their country. It just adds to what a special area LP is.
