Team USA captured three more gold medals on Wednesday, most once again in the swimming pool. Nathan Adrian, whose suit unfortunately did not split wide open this time around, won the men’s 100-meter freestyle, and our team of fish – Missy Franklin, Dana Vollmer, Alison Schmitt and Shannon Vreeland – set an Olympic record with their win in the women’s 4×200 relay.

In cycling . . . and it’s good to hear the Tour De France is finally over, Kristin Armstrong won her second straight Olympic time trial gold medal, coming out of retirement to do so.

And yes, China is still ahead (but they cheat at badminton).
